Why reviews matterfor local search

When someone searches for what you do near them, Google shows a map with a handful of local businesses on it. Google says the number of reviews you have and your score are part of how it decides who shows up there.

Reviews are also the first thing a customer reads before they pick up the phone. A business with a few old reviews looks quieter than it is, even when the work is brilliant.

The businesses with the most reviews aren't always the best at what they do. They're usually just the ones that ask, every time. A direct link and a card on the counter make asking easy.

Prefer to do it by hand?

Sign in to the Google account that runs your Business Profile, search your business name on Google and look for the Ask for reviews button. It gives you the same link. This tool just does it without the sign in, which helps when somebody else set the profile up for you.
